Apr 29, 2015. In my in depth Slicethepie review today, I will share what I have discovered about this platform since joining. Slice the pie or Slicethepie is a review site. For every little mini review you write, you can earn a small amount of money for your time. The reviews used to just be focused on Music But there are now additional categories that. Slice The Pie(STP) is a review site that pays you for reviewing the music on their platform. As shown above, there are a few categories of item for you to review. If you are not into music, you can also make money by writing reviews for stuff like homeware and mobile.
Reviews that are more detailed, constructive and are well-written and clear earn much more. It also likes reviews that are varied, which is why using a Slicethepie review generator is such a bad idea. But, that’s not the only benefit to writing quality reviews. If the overall quality of your reviews is high, then you earn more stars. Most review payments start off at $0.02 per review, having said that my initial earnings started at $0.05, then went up to $0.07 most likely because I added more detail in my second review. They give you clues as to how you could increase your earning potential via these bonus popup messages, so just keep that in mind.
Although we never did a review of Slice The Pie, we have talked about it before, mainly in our “Get paid to listen to music” post.
Online, there are tons of different ways to make money.
In fact, we cover them all the time on this website.
You can sell photos you take on your smartphone, get paid to download apps, and even earn money by selling your trash!
But, one of the easiest ways to make money online has to be by writing reviews.

Slicethepie is a website that pays you to give honest reviews.
It claims to be the largest paid review site out there.
It’s mostly focused on music. It was started so that unknown musicians would get the chance to have their music reviewed.
Aspiring artists can submit their songs for review to the site and get invaluable feedback.
While most of the reviews you write will focus on music, you can also review clothing, accessories, and commercials.
Your reviews help clients, including artists and fashion designers, by providing them with honest feedback.
Essentially, the artist or designer gets to use your review to improve their products, and you get paid.
It’s a win-win situation.
So, check out our Slicethepie review to see if the platform is a worthwhile money-making option.
It’s really easy to earn with the website.
All you need to do is write reviews and you get paid.
First, you need to visit Slicethepie.com and sign up. This is free to do.
Here’s a quick overview of how to earn money with the website:
Go to Slicethepie and login
Once you’re logged into your account, the site will ask you to select which category you want to review.
You can choose from a few different categories, like:
After you’ve chosen your category, it’s time to test the product that you’re going to review.
If you’re going to review music, then you’ll need to listen to at least 90 seconds of the track.
You need to write an honest review.
Note things that you liked and disliked, and make sure that you mention some specific aspects, like the vocals or the production.
You also need to rate the track that you listen to out of ten.
You won’t be able to see the name of the artist or the track name until you’ve written your review.
For fashion and mobile, you have to take a look at the details and photos that you are given for the product.
After you’ve gone over the photos and the information, you need to give comments on things like the material, the design and whether or not you’d buy it.
Like with music, you also have to give the item a rating out of ten.
You might also have to answer a few additional questions.
Now, it’s time to submit your review.
After you submit your review, you get paid.
What’s great about the website is that it pays via PayPal.
This is really handy!
Getting paid via PayPal is much quicker than other payment methods like checks.
Please keep in mind that the email address on your Slicethepie account needs to match the email address that’s on your PayPal account.
But, don’t worry if you signed up using a different email address. You can send the site an email telling them that you need to change your email address on your account to match your PayPal one.
Also, you need to make sure that your account includes your date of birth. You can do this by going to the “Balance” section of your account.
There’s a minimum earnings threshold of $10, which you’ll need to hit before you can withdraw your cash.
They will read your review before paying you.
PayPal payments from the site generally take up to five working days to process.
You might be wondering, how much does Slicethepie pay?
Well, it varies.
How much you get paid per review depends on many different factors, like what you’re reviewing.
Some categories simply pay more than others.
When you reach the category page, it lets you know what pays more.
Don’t worry; you can change what you want to review by going to the menu bar, which can be found at the top of the page and clicking on “Review”
But, the category you decide to review isn’t the only factor that affects how much you earn.
The quality of your review and what star rating you have an effect.
Generally, if you’re a reviewer with 1-star, then you earn about 1 cent per review.
There isn’t really a Slicethepie, hack necessarily, that’s instantly going to boost your earnings. But, one thing that you should definitely do is make sure that your reviews are high quality.
They read every submitted review.
And, the higher your star rating with the site, the more money you make.
Essentially, the more time and effort you put into to your reviews, the more the site will reward you.
While there are no Slicethepie cheats, improving the quality of your reviews is a sure way to increase your earnings with the site.
Like most sites of its kind, STP also has a paid referral program.
If you share your referral code with a friend, then you make money each time they leave a review.
Just visit the Refer a Friend page when you are logged into your account to get your referral code or link.
Then, tell your friends to enter your code when they sign up.
Or, if you get your link, just share it with your friends, and ask them to click your link.
When they sign up directly from your link, your code is automatically entered.
You earn commission for a year after your friend leaves their first review.
And, you can invite as many friends as you want to.
When you visit the Account & Balance section, take a look at your Transactions. There, you can see what money you’ve made from referrals– it appears as “review commission.”
Okay, so now you know how much it pays and how to increase your earnings.
You’re probably wondering, how much can you actually make from it.
Well, in reality, not that much.
You only get 1 cent per review, and for music, you need to listen to each track for at least 90 seconds.
So, your hourly earnings are going to be pretty low.
A few users talked about their earnings on Reddit.
Those in this Reddit thread, mention that if you improve your reviews, you can get between 10 to 14 cents per review.
People on various Reddit posts and other online forums also report that the amount the site pays has dropped a lot since it first began.
So, all in all, writing reviews for Slicethepie isn’t going to replace your full-time income anytime soon or even make you a part-time income.
Unfortunately, there are other survey sites out there that pay much more per review.
But, having said that, the one thing that does set Slicethepie apart is the fact that reviewing music is quite fun.
And, if you’re a music fan, then you might find the experience of reviewing tracks on the site more enjoyable than you would at your generic survey site.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing the platform doesn’t yet have an app.
But, it does state on the website that there is one coming soon.
So, in the near future, hopefully, you’ll be able to make money reviewing stuff from your phone.
But, for now, you will have to use the website.
Overall, Slicethepie is a pretty good option if you’re looking to make a bit of extra cash.
It’s easy to use and it pays pretty quickly.
The only problem is that what you make from writing reviews for the site, isn’t always worth the time and effort that you put into it.
After all, creating a detailed, constructive and well-written review can be time-consuming.
Compared to sites like Swagbucks, where you can get paid for things like playing games, the amount of effort you have to put it is a little more.
Having said that though, Slicethepie does reward you for this effort. So, the more you put into your reviews, the more money you’ll make.
If you’re willing to put in a bit of effort, this platform could be a good way for you to make some extra spending money.
But, there are definitely better review and reward sites out there that pay more. We would highly recommend Swagbucks. You can also check out our article on the best survey sites for more options.
