Outlook for mac add ons

Calendar feeds (iCal) from calendar sources continually update events as they change on their source calendars. iCal feeds cannot be brought into your primary Outlook calendar, and so are not recommended for your class schedule. However, this tool may be useful for other kinds of events, such as athletics competitions that tend to change.

While an iCal feed cannot be imported into your primary Outlook calendar, it can be brought in as an additional calendar easily viewed in Outlook. Events in an added calendar will not show up as blocked times for you in the Outlook Scheduling Assistant. Only events from a fixed .ics calendar file can be imported into your Outlook primary calendar.

With an added calendar you will have the ability to toggle its visibility on and off from your Outlook calendar view.

To add an iCal feed as and additional calendar in Outlook on a desktop or laptop computer (not iPad, Chromebook, or mobile device):

Part I: Copy the iCal feed address from HOL:

Login to hol.hackeyschool.org and click on the the “Calendar Integration (iCal/.ics)” button:
